Well, I’m back at Pearson International Airport waiting to board another shiny metal lawn dart. In particular, this shiny metal lawn dart I’m about to board represents my 43rd for the year. My destination – Quebec City for the Arctic Change conference.
This will be my last conference of the year. It’s also my last week of work before I take off on a European adventure for several weeks. Naturally, I’m trying to balance my excitement for my upcoming vacation with the need to get a lot of work finished this week. And of course, there’s also a few presentations that I have to do before vacation really starts.
Regardless of the work that still remains, I’m excited to spend the week in Quebec City with the rest of the eNuk team. I’m sure it’ll be filled with a lot of laughter, and perhaps even a few shenanigans that may or may not involve scotch. Full disclosure – shenanigans will definitely involve scotch.
Anyway, I think the last time I was in Quebec City was almost a decade ago, so I’m going to have to make sure to take this opportunity to wander about and sample as much of its wares as I can. Really, it would be rude not to.
Other than that, I think I’m really going to have to try not to get distracted by the fact that vacation is only a few days away. I have work to do. At least for a few more days 😉
