wan•der•lust |ˈwändərˌləst| (n): a strong desire to travel : a man consumed by wanderlust.

ORIGIN early 20th cent.: from German Wanderlust.

I am consumed by wanderlust.  I have travelled to many places, but am constantly searching for new adventures.  Thankfully, adventure tends to find me quite easily.

I love making lists, setting goals that give me pause, and finding the hilarity in awkward situations.

I also dabble in statistics, mathematics, compu-geekery, and other nerdy things.

This blog is my attempt to document these things.  Mainly it serves as a diary so that I might be able to see where I’ve been, what I’ve accomplished, and having done so, set new goals, find new adventures, and try new things.

This is what happens when one doesn't have a Ph.D. to work on anymore.

I’d like to invite you to participate in my research: “What Do Bloggers Want to Preserve? Defining the ‘Essence’ of User-Generated Content for Preservation.” This study will gain an understanding of how bloggers value their blogs and what elements bloggers think are important for preservation.

You are being asked to participate because your blog posts are tagged as being related to the theme of travel in one of the blog-hosting services and because your blog is not hosted by any commercial agency. Your participation is completely voluntary.

The survey is NOW OPEN and will remain open until midnight (EDT) 20 April 2011. If you are interested and would like to part in take the survey, please visit this URL: http://bloggersurvey.web.unc.edu/

Thank you in advance for considering participation in my study, and please
feel free to pass along this survey to others who might be interested!

India is still on my to-travel list. This year I’m hoping to get back to Europe for Christmas (although I’m not sure where in Europe exactly), and maybe next year to Asia.

      1. That sounds great, especially Asia. I’m going to check back and see where in Europe you decide on 🙂
