One of the things that I wanted to accomplish this year was to read more for fun. In the past, a slow year would have seen me consuming a novel a week. I devoured books. And then I suddenly didn’t.
Rick and I are still enjoying the comforts of our fancy-pants hotel in Kathmandu. We’ve just finished eating breakfast in bed (because fancy-pants hotel), and are contemplating venturing out to wander the streets of the Thamel district to get some delicious coffee from Himalayan Java. It’s a rough life, but someone has to live it.
It’s a rainy day at the cottage today, which means the internet is extra spotty. This also means we’re spending the day lounging, reading, eating, and enjoying beverages. Life is so rough.
